Publication Requirements

General Policies

All journals published by Sigma Alpha Epsilon Academic Journal, Inc. adhere to the following principles:

• Open Access: All publications are available under an open-access policy and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License.
• Identification: Journals are assigned ISSN numbers. Beginning in 2025, all publications will also receive DOI numbers (pending verification).

Submission Policy

Manuscripts must be submitted by one of the authors, with the consent of all co-authors (if applicable).

Submissions are accepted only if they:

• Are exclusively intended for the relevant journal.
• Are unpublished and not under review elsewhere.
• Provide accurate, original, and unique insights addressing significant scientific problems.

Submission Guidelines

1. Peer Review: Manuscripts undergo a single-blind peer review by two independent experts. Review outcomes influence publication but do not imply endorsement by the reviewers, editorial board, or publisher.
2. Language Requirements: Manuscripts must be written in fluent English (British or American English, consistency required).
3. Formatting and Length:
   • Submissions must be between 7–20 pages, formatted in DOC or DOCX (Microsoft Word).
   • Manuscripts exceeding 20 pages require prior approval from the publisher.
   • Adhere to the journal’s formatting style and APA 7th edition referencing guidelines.
4. Publication Limit: Authors may publish a maximum of two manuscripts per journal volume.

Editorial and Ethical Standards

Approved manuscripts may undergo editorial revisions for clarity and quality.

The publisher, editors, and reviewers are not liable for the content or consequences of published articles.

Articles breaching ethical standards (e.g., errors, copyright violations, or misinformation) may be retracted without compensation.

Authors must disclose potential conflicts of interest, including funding sources and professional or personal relationships.

Publication Ethics

1. Authorship:
   • Authorship must reflect substantial contributions to the research.
   • Institutions and editors must discourage guest, gift, or ghost authorship.
   • All authors must approve the manuscript submission and any revisions.
   • Changes to the author list require consent from all listed and removed authors.
   • Acknowledgments must not falsely imply contributions or endorsements.
2. Originality:
   • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
   • Proper acknowledgment and permissions are required for reproducing copyrighted materials (e.g., data, figures, or extensive quotations).
   • Authors must cite all relevant prior work and avoid misrepresenting others’ ideas or data.
3. Competing Interests: Authors must disclose all funding sources and relationships that could influence their research.
4. Research Integrity:
   • Research must be conducted responsibly, with findings reported honestly.
   • Authors must verify calculations, ensure data accuracy, and report errors promptly.
   • Fabrication, falsification, and data manipulation are strictly prohibited.
5. Research Ethics:
   • Studies involving humans or animals must comply with ethical standards and secure appropriate approvals.
   • Personal data must not be published without explicit consent.
6. Retraction of Publications:
   • Articles may be retracted for errors, plagiarism, ethical violations, or unauthorized data use.
   • Retraction ensures the integrity of the scientific record.
7. Use of AI Tools:
   • AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) may be used only to enhance readability or language clarity.
   • Authors must disclose the use of AI tools and ensure human oversight.
   • AI-generated content must align with the research’s originality and authorship guidelines. AI cannot be credited as an author.

Deadlines and Fees

• Publication Fee: _______ (VAT inclusive) per article, payable upon acceptance.
• No submission fees.
• No additional charges for article length, color figures, or supplementary data.
• Publication Limit: Authors may publish up to two manuscripts per volume.
• Editorial Decisions: Decisions are communicated within 90 calendar days of submission.
